Vespa Club Gjøvik, in partnership with Vespa Club Norge and Vespa World Club will be hosting Vespa World Days 2011.
Welcome to Gjøvik, Norway!
The Vespa Village will be at Øverby Health Sport Center, located 5 km from downtown Gjøvik. According to rules and regulations, participants must be members of the Vespa World Club through their local or national club. However, non-members are welcome as well paying an additional entrance fee.
Everybody who will drive in Norway must have EU license or a translated approved license ( Example; someone from Russia with the Russian alphabet in the driving license need a translation).
For EU licenses the following codes and classifications will apply in Norway:
For 50 ccm = B (Cars)
For 125ccm = A or A1
For over 125ccm = A
LRN Transport, an international transport company located in Gjøvik, is currently working on a Vespa transport package. LRN will offer transport of Vespas from a central point in south Germany to Gjøvik one way, round-trip or transport from Gjøvik to south Germany after VWD2011. The scooters will be delivered at the Vespa Village.

If you arrive by air plane at Gardermoen, you are entitled to 20 % discount on the Timekspressen - bus from Gardermoen to Gjøvik bus station, where we will arrange for transport to the Vespa Village
Registration
Registration for both club members and non-members is now open. Please do your registrations for Vespa World Days 2011 now!! The fee for members is set to € 65 per person. The fee for non-members is set to € 75 per person.

Lodging
The Hilton Riverside New Orleans is the host hotel for the 19th annual Amerivespa this year. The Hilton is known the world over as a four star luxury hotel. The 29 story Hilton Riverside has views unmatched in New Orleans overlooking the historic French Quarter and Mississippi River.
Camping is not desirable this time of year in Louisiana. It will be hot and humid but should you be willing to tough it out there are a few options for those rocking a tent.
Thursday – May 19th:
– Opening of the Vespa Village
– On site bar and food stalls, DJs and live music (probably) too, dealer stalls and dyno bench
Friday – May 20th:
– Breakfast at the Vespa Village– Ride out to Lillehammer. Length of the ride out Gjøvik - Lillehammer - Gjøvik, approx 90 km
– Bar & food stalls open in the Vespa Village all day and night. Evening DJs and scooterists sound live on stage!
Saturday – May 21st:
– Breakfast at the Vespa Village
– Ride out to Kapp. Length of the ride out Gjøvik - Kapp - Gjøvik, approx 30 km
– Vespa Old-timer Freunde München with their acrobatic show outside CC Shopping mall
– Galla dinner
– DJs and late night concert at the Vespa Village
Sunday – May 22nd:
